STUDIO POLICIES
These policies exist so we can keep classes safe, run on time, and stay open as a small business. Please read them in full before booking. By signing up for class at The DRIP, you agree to every policy below. We apply them consistently to every client, every time, without exception.
BEFORE CLASS
First time at DRIP? Arrive 10 minutes early. This gives you time to check in, set up, connect with your instructor to discuss any injuries, pregnancies, or modifications, and learn how the equipment works.
Returning clients: Please give yourself enough time to check in and be at your spot before class start time.
Be at your spot at class start time. This is for your safety and out of respect for everyone in class.
You must be 18 or older to take a class at DRIP.
Each client must have their own account. Accounts cannot be shared under any circumstances. A credit card is required on file to keep a contactless environment.
WHAT YOU MUST BRING
Mat classes (including Heated): Grippy socks or bare feet. We provide mats, or BYO.
Reformer classes: Grippy socks are REQUIRED. No exceptions.
Cycle classes: Cycling shoes (SPD or delta clips). BYO or rent at the studio.
Grippy socks for Reformer
Grippy socks are required for every Reformer class. This is a non-negotiable safety rule. If you arrive to a Reformer class without grippy socks, you must purchase a pair before class begins or you will not be permitted to participate. We carry them at the studio for purchase.
No sneakers in any class
No sneakers are permitted in any studio room, ever, for sanitary reasons. No exceptions.
Water
We have water bottle fillers in the studio. Water bottles are also available for purchase.
LATE POLICY
First-time clients and unknown guests not yet in our system: Late entry is never permitted, for any reason. This is a strict safety rule.
Returning clients: If you are not on time, your spot may be given to a waitlisted or standby client. No exceptions.
If your spot has not been given away, late entry is at the sole discretion of the instructor leading class. Instructors may deny entry if it disrupts the class or compromises safety. No exceptions.
If you know you are running late, the safest plan is to remove yourself from the class before the cancellation window closes.
CANCELLATIONS
You must cancel your reservation in the app. We do not process cancellations or reservation changes by phone, text, or email under any circumstances.
Cancellation windows by membership
DRIP Unlimited members: 12 hours before class start time.
DRIP Premium + DUE Prenatal/Postnatal Community members: 6 hours before class start time.
All other memberships and packages: 12 hours before class start time.
Cancellations inside the window
If you cancel inside your cancellation window, the following applies:
DRIP Unlimited and DRIP Premium members: $15 late cancel fee
DUE Prenatal/Postnatal Community members: No late cancel fees. Please do not abuse the privilege - cancelling as early as possible gives other members and your instructor the courtesy of filling the spot. No show fees still apply.
All other memberships and packages: loss of credit
This includes same-day reservation changes (switching to a different class or time on the same day counts as a late cancel).
We cannot reverse cancellations or no-shows. Please do not ask to be the exception.
If you do not want to risk a late fee, wait to sign up until you are at the studio.
If you want more flexibility with scheduling, the DRIP Premium membership has a 6-hour cancellation window.
NO-SHOWS
No-show charges:
DRIP Unlimited and DRIP Premium members: $20 charge
DUE Prenatal/Postnatal Community members: $20 charge
All other memberships and packages: loss of credit
We cannot reverse a no-show unless it was made in error on our end. No other exceptions.
If you know you cannot make class, cancel in the app immediately. A late cancel inside the cancellation window still results in a fee, but it is not the same as a no-show.
WAITLIST
If a class is full, you can add yourself to the waitlist. The system will automatically add you to the class if a spot opens up. Do not add yourself to a waitlist if you are not willing to actively manage your place on it, all the way up until class start time.
The two phases of the waitlist
This is the part most members get tripped up on, so please read it carefully.
Phase 1: You are on the waitlist. You are waiting for a spot. You can remove yourself at any time, for any reason, with no penalty. Ever.
Phase 2: You have been added to the class. The system has assigned you a real spot. You are now treated exactly like any member who booked the class normally, and the standard cancellation window for your membership applies. If you cancel inside that window, or do not show up, you will be charged a late cancel or no-show fee. Being on the waitlist before does not protect you once the spot has been assigned to you.
How to know which phase you are in
Check the app. This is the only reliable way to know your status.
We do send email and text notifications, but they can be delayed, sent to spam, or missed entirely while you are sleeping. Do not rely on them. We are not responsible for missed notifications.
The waitlist often moves in the final hour before class, in the overnight hours, or first thing in the morning. If you are on a waitlist for a class you are not 100% sure you can attend, check the app the night before and again in the morning.
What you should do
If you are on a waitlist and decide you no longer want the class, remove yourself. There is no penalty, no awkwardness, and it frees the spot for another member. We would much rather you remove yourself than stay on the list "just in case."
A waitlist means you are waiting. When you are done waiting, take yourself off.
Real scenarios
Scenario 1: You add yourself to the waitlist on Wednesday for a Saturday 9 AM class. By Friday night you realize you cannot make it. → Open the app and remove yourself from the waitlist. No charge.
Scenario 2: You are on the waitlist overnight. At 6 AM the system adds you to the 9 AM class. You wake up at 8 AM, realize you cannot make it, and cancel. → You are now inside the cancellation window. This counts as a late cancel and you will be charged.
Scenario 3: You are on the waitlist overnight. The system adds you at 6 AM for a 9 AM class. You sleep through it and never check the app. → You will be marked a no-show and charged. The system does not know you were asleep. If there is any chance you might not check the app in the morning, remove yourself from the waitlist the night before.
Scenario 4: You are added to a class 26 hours before it starts. You see the email the next morning, realize you cannot go, and cancel. → You are still outside the cancellation window, so you will not be charged.
Scenario 5: You are added to a class with 30 minutes notice. You cannot make it. → You will be charged. Once you are in the class, the cancellation window has already passed. This is why we ask you to remove yourself from the waitlist if you know you cannot drop everything to attend.
What happens to your credit
If you do not remove yourself from the waitlist and never make it into class, the system will return your credit to your account in about 24 hours. If you want to use that credit for a different class on the same day, remove yourself from the waitlist before class time so your credit is not tied up.
NO EXCEPTIONS FOR UNFORESEEN CIRCUMSTANCES
We understand life is unpredictable. We still do not offer credits, refunds, extensions, or rescheduling for missed classes due to:
Illness or injury
Work conflicts
Travel delays or transportation issues
Family emergencies
Weather conditions
Childcare falling through or a sick child
Personal schedule changes
Any other unforeseen circumstance
This applies to every client, every time, without exception. It applies even when a waitlist exists, even when another class has open spots, and even for same-day class swaps.
Here is why: as a small business, we operate with limited class sizes, scheduled instructors, and fixed overhead. Each reserved spot directly affects staffing, payroll, and studio operations. Offering exceptions, even for sympathetic circumstances, creates inconsistency and financial instability that small studios cannot absorb. The only way we can stay open and continue serving our community is by applying this policy to every client, equally.
If you do not want to risk a late fee, wait to sign up until you are at the studio.
REFUNDS, EXTENSIONS, AND TRANSFERS
We do not offer refunds on classes, memberships, apparel, or merchandise.
We do not offer extensions or rollovers on credits or monthly credit memberships under any circumstances. You are responsible for tracking your expiration dates.
Single classes, class packages, and memberships are non-transferable. All credits must be used by the original purchasing client.
You may guest in another client (one class at a time) using a class package or monthly class package membership. This does not apply to DRIP Unlimited, DRIP Premium or DUE Prenatal/Postnatal Community memberships.
MEMBERSHIPS
All memberships require a 2-month minimum commitment, except DRIP Premium.
To cancel after the minimum commitment, you must cancel in the app or email your studio. Memberships do not cancel automatically. Memberships are billed on a monthly recurring basis.
DRIP Premium members can cancel anytime in the app or by emailing the studio.
FREEZES
We freeze memberships for a minimum of 14 days. To request a freeze, email your studio with both a start date and end date. Requests without both dates cannot be processed.
PRENATAL AND POSTNATAL CLIENTS
Exercising during pregnancy or postpartum is a personal decision between you and your doctor. If you are cleared for exercise, every class format at The DRIP is pregnancy and postpartum friendly. If you would like additional guidance and perks while working out at THE DRIP while pregnant or postpartum, we offer a DUE Prenatal/Postnatal Community membership.
Select locations offer a MILF (Mama + Infant Lift & Form) class for expecting and postpartum women (baby optional) to attend a class specifically tailored to PPN clients.
The DRIP was founded by two women who taught and took classes throughout multiple pregnancies, and we have pregnant clients and instructors in class all the time.
INFRARED HEATED CLASSES
Classes marked HEATED use infrared heat technology to warm your core. The room can reach 85-95°F.
Infrared heat is excellent for general detoxification but can raise your core temperature. If you have any health condition, including pregnancy, you must speak with your doctor before taking a heated class.
DURING CLASS
No electronics in the studio room. If you need to take a call or text, step outside.
Smart watches: The display must be turned off during class so it does not distract other clients.
Filming is not permitted during class without explicit permission from the instructor leading class. If approved, you may not film other clients under any circumstances.
HEALTH AND SAFETY
The safety of our community is our top priority. We sanitize after every class and provide hand sanitizing stations throughout the studio.
CHARGEBACKS
We are very responsive when charges are inaccurate or triggered in error. If you have a billing question, the fastest path is to email your studio.
If you file a chargeback with your credit card company instead of contacting us first, you will no longer be welcome at The DRIP. Chargebacks cause real harm to small businesses every time, and they are almost always preventable with a single email.
LOST AND FOUND
The DRIP is not responsible for lost or stolen items in the studio. If you think you left something behind, email your studio location.
By signing up for class at The DRIP, you agree to all of the policies above. These policies are applied consistently to every client, every time, without exception. This consistency is the only way a small studio can stay open, fair, and safe for everyone.
