Our Culture — The DRIP

The DRIP · Culture

Everything you need
to thrive here

We are an intense, solution-oriented culture built around something people are deeply passionate about. This page tells you everything.

Who we are

Built on intensity

The Drip is not for everyone — and that is by design. We are a culture built around something people are deeply, genuinely passionate about: fitness. That passion creates intensity. That intensity creates something real.

If this culture is not for you, that doesn't mean it's bad. It doesn't mean you're bad. It just means it's not a fit — and there is nothing wrong with that. But if it is your fit, there is nothing like it.

You don't have to be the best. But you have to want to be the best. We hold ourselves to that standard, and we will always be pushing to do better — and we need you to go with that change and help drive it.

Know before you go

Are you a fit?

Read this honestly. One column should feel like it's describing you. If it's the left — you're home.

You are a fit if you...
  • Are genuinely obsessed with fitness and movement
  • Love intensity and hold yourself to a high standard
  • Own your mistakes and learn from them fast
  • Chase solutions — not problems, not excuses
  • Embrace change and help drive it forward
  • Lift others up instead of tearing them down
  • Want to be the best, even if you aren't yet
This may not be your place if you...
  • See a problem in every solution
  • Resist feedback, growth, or change
  • Rely on gossip instead of direct conversation
  • Need a low-pressure, low-accountability environment
  • Struggle to separate personal views from your professional role
  • Play the victim instead of taking ownership

If that left column lit a fire in you — you belong here. We will squeeze the wrong people out naturally. Not cruelly — just inevitably. The culture does it on its own.

How we operate

Our core norms

These are not suggestions. They are the operating system of The Drip — what accountability, respect, and positivity look like in practice here.

Solutions first, always

When something goes wrong, our first move is to ask: what's the next step? What can be done? We don't sit in complaints. We move through them. We are a solution-oriented culture, and that is non-negotiable.

Full ownership, no excuses

Take ownership of your mistakes and learn from them. Be coachable and open to feedback. Avoid blame and negative team dynamics. Professionalism and accountability are the standard.

We evolve — and you evolve with us

Evolution is part of our brand. We will always be striving to be better — for you, for our clients, for the community. You have to go with that change and help drive it. If you dig in against progress, this isn't your home.

We are here by choice

We are here because we choose to be here. We love this space. No one is anyone's victim — not instructors, not clients. Together we create the environment and energy we want to work and work out in.

The zero-tolerance policy

No gossip. Ever.

At The Drip, gossip is not tolerated. The rule is simple: if you're not telling the person involved — or the person who can fix it — it's gossip.

Gossip is easy. But it drains our energy, spreads negativity, and creates a toxic environment. At Drip, we do better. We lift each other up, lead by example, and help people find solutions.

The gossip formula

When someone brings a complaint your way, use this framework. Too much empathy turns into commiseration — which only justifies the complaint instead of resolving it.

Short acknowledgement
A quick flash of understanding. "I hear you." Keep it short.
Solution-oriented action
Point people toward the next step or the person who can help.
Positive framing
Assume the best in your instructor family, clients, and community.

What this looks like in practice

"I got charged a no-show fee which is inaccurate.""Oh no! Email our manager — she's the best, she'll get it fixed for you."
"I don't go to her class because she's soooo loud on the mic.""Ugh, I get it — that can be a lot. Did you tell her? I know she'd love the feedback and she'd love to see you in her class again."

Our culture is built on accountability, respect, and positivity. We address issues directly, respectfully, and with solutions — not with gossip.

Our studio, our standard

The studio as a sanctuary

The Drip is a place where individuals come to focus on their health and well-being — leaving the stresses of the outside world behind. We are committed to maintaining a welcoming, positive, and non-charged environment for everyone, regardless of background, belief, or political view.

In the studio
Stay neutral
Keep political and religious conversations out of classes, client interactions, and all in-studio activity. Our job is to make every person who walks in feel welcome and safe.
Social media
Separate your channels
Maintain a separate fitness-focused account for your professional presence. If your personal accounts engage in political or religious content, do not reference The Drip or use studio imagery there.
Your voice
We respect it
Your personal views are yours. We simply ask they stay clearly separated from The Drip brand so our diverse community stays unified around the one thing we all share: fitness.
Accountability
Actions have consequences
If these guidelines are not followed and class numbers drop or complaints arise, your position or leadership consideration may be reconsidered. We hold ourselves and each other to the standard.

Growth mindset

Ownership & accountability

At Drip, we operate with a growth mindset and a high level of personal responsibility. Instructors are expected to approach every challenge with professionalism, accountability, and a solutions-oriented attitude.

What this means day to day

Take ownership of mistakes and learn from them. No deflection, no excuses — just growth.
Be coachable. Open to feedback. Willing to adapt. The best people here are the ones who never stop improving.
Avoid blame and negative team dynamics. Focus on solutions and growth, not problems and excuses.
Embrace evolution. We will always be striving to be better. You have to go with that change and help — or you aren't a fit.

We are a company that sees evolution as part of the brand. We will always strive to be better and better for you. You can't be a person who always sees a problem in every solution. If our culture is not for you, that doesn't mean it's bad — it just means it's not a fit. And there is nothing wrong with that.

The Standard

You don't have to be the best. But you have to want to be the best. We hold ourselves to that standard. We will always be pushing to do better — and you have to go with that change and help drive it. That is what it means to be Drip.
